We Have Stories

We Have Stories is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing mutual aid to individuals, organizations, and projects in need.

Over the past year (2023), Frederick and We Have Stories have raised and donated nearly $100,000 in mutual aid and necessities to families and communities in need throughout New York City and Westchester County.

NATIONAL NETWORK OF ABORTION FUNDS

Frederick raised more than $15,000 for the National Network of Abortion Funds in response to the issues created in the overturning of Roe V. Wade, and has committed to donating 100% of the royalties from his book, Patriarchy Blues, to both Planned Parenthood and the National Network of Abortion Funds. He hopes that this will inspire others to find ways to stand against the GOP, and in solidarity with everyone opposing the patriarchy.

The “Say Gay” Campaign

Frederick raised more than $30,000 for 3 organizations in Florida that support LGBTQ+ youth and policy in response to the Florida Senate passing a “Don’t Say Gay” bill that bans classroom discussions about sexual orientation or gender identity. These organizations provide services to and empower the LGBTQ community with information, education, advocacy, and support.

Food Bank for New York City

Frederick Joseph raised $40,000 for the Food Bank of New York City, the city’s largest nonprofit 501(c)3 hunger-relief organization focused on helping low-income New Yorkers overcome their circumstances and achieve greater independence.

Rent Relief Campaign

Frederick was the creator of the largest individual Covid-19 support effort, the #RentRelief campaign, which raised over $1 million dollars and helped over 5,000 families with expenses during Covid-19.

Captain Marvel Challenge

Frederick raised over $63,000 in an effort to take the children from Girls Inc. Los Angeles to see Marvel’s first woman-led film, Captain Marvel. Exceeding the original goal ($20K), they were able to use the additional funds to support We Have Stories and Girls Inc. LA’s goal to expand their programs in STEM education, literacy, and math to more girls in Watts, Compton, and South LA.
